Bottled!
« on: May 01, 2014, 09:29 »
I bottled five gallons of cider yesterday, seeing as it's pouring down today I might as well bottle the last five gallons today, might rack some wines too especially the port, it's been racked twice and still dropping a fair bit of sediment, think I must have gone overboard with the fruit. :D

Quite a while, we made 50 gallons this season but I don't drink it all myself, the daughters partner and my son help me, I also use it as a bartering tool, we had a steel frame made for our apple scratter last year, it cost us 2 gallons of cider, any cider left after 18 months I've started turning into wine, I've got 5 gallons of cider and red grape on the go at the moment, it's down to 1.015 now so not far to go, tastes great too.
