Title: How many treats?
Post by: beulah59 on September 02, 2009, 16:44
Last evening I put down a small handful of mixed corn, a few caterpillars and a cabbage leaf ... I've just given them a small handful of mixed corn, some flaked maize and a few dried mealworms ...

But how much should I give the four of them? A small handful feels rather mean when they eat it so quickly!

About 20gms of corn each, as much greenstuff as they like.  I only give a scattering of meal worms - I'm a bit scared of them to be honest :tongue2:

ours have a muller light pot full of mixed corn at night, most goes, but sometimes if they have been in the garden some is left,, not much, which they eat first thing in the morning. usually i put it on a ground feeder tray, so i can lift it out at night.

I give mine enough that they can clear it up in a couple of mins, if it feels a bit mean mix a small amount of corn with some layers pellets.
