I can not see why not.  Do not forget to add lots of milk though. :D (Joking about the milk).
I would crush the flakes though, makes it easy to eat.

I wouldn't as a rule only as cereals tend to have a high salt content which is not very good for chooks, however, a few occasionally I cnat see doing much harm :)

I have used up a bit of cereal when it has reached its best before date or I have decided that I don't like it but I mix it in with the cooked peelings in the girls breakfast.  That way it gets a bit of moisture through it.

Check on the box to see about the salt.  I bet there's a bunch in there and that's lethal to a hen.
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

I do sometimes give poorly hens weetabix with yoghurt. I have found that the cheap oats from Lidl goes down better than the premium cereal from my mates deli. Mind you I tasted the posh stuff and got bored chewing, it was like cardboard. Nic.

when i was a teenager we had a chicken (my mum named her Clara Cluck of all names!) Anyway, Dad built her a house out of an old kitchen cupboard LOL, she used to get herself round to the back door every morning and tap on the door with her beak and i used to share some cornflakes with her (without milk of course).  As a kid I didn't really think about looking on the side of the box about salt etc but she loved them anyway and it's a fond childhood memory i always have of her.  :)

I give mine the scraps that are left at the bottom of packs of various different types of cereals, crushed up and moistened in water and mine are fine :)  Didn't know the salt content was high in them though
