this is possibly the excuse I've been needing to focus attention on clearing out my second greenhouse from last year and giving it a good scrub...
Gardening organically on chalky, stony soil.

I've only planted stuff in my greenhouse so far, which I'm keeping frost free with a paraffin heater when it looks a bit nippy, so I won't be panic buying fleece to cover all the stuff I've planted (need a smug icon here!)

I've spent the last few weeks sorting out the infrastructure of my plot - getting the greenhouse up, sorting out my Heath Robinson water collection system (which has just got more complicated, as I spent the morning plumbing in downpipes off the GH, and routing the water into my IBC containers); building a hot bed, mending the fence, spreading manure around, making signs for the beds (cos with my crop rotation, I can't remember what bed is going for which crop   ).  And I've been planting fruit trees and bushes on my second plot, which will keep me pretty busy clearing the ground around where I've planted.  I'm hoping to get two or three beds up and running on there fairly soon.

So maybe some snow will keep me indoors, and I can catch up on some housework

My I refer readers of this thread to one posted by my right honourable friend, Munty - about a month ago.

"Why are folk planting stuff out so early"

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
