Well my favourite boy is now a grandad (if he wasn't already).

My best laying daughter of his, Ellie, went to stay with a friend who has a chocolate runner drake and we now have a couple of little chocolate coloured ducklings. :D
Interestingly (well I thought so ::)) crossing a chocolate drake with a black girl (Ellie) leads to sex linked offspring with the females being chocolate and the males black. Couldn't actually test the theory as only had girls hatch! Not that I'm complaining of course :D

She's so pretty :D
She looks as if she has an attitude already ::)

I think that must be the runner in her!
We hatched a couple of these and a couple of buff orpington ducks and it is interesting how different their personalities are even at just a couple of weeks old. The BO are a lot more nervy and vocal that the Patrick/runner ones which I didn't expect as runners can be pretty manic.
Be interesting to see how they are when they grow up.

She's got some brothers and sisters due in a fortnight so hopefully got some more lovely babies on the way and get to check the sex linking.
