£5 off Morrisons shopping!
« on: February 09, 2012, 12:31 »
Popped into Morrisons this morning for some shopping and noticed the cashier taking a voucher out of The Sun.  Lazy s**s I thought, can't take their own voucher out!

Then when it was our turn, the shopping came to £45, so the cashier said would you like to buy a copy of the Sun?  Brian was just going to say no, when the cashier said there's a £5 voucher in it for your shopping.  So for an outlay of 30p, we got a fiver off the shopping and I've got another newspaper to light the fire with!   ;) ;)

I was going to buy up all the Suns and go and stand outside and sell them for £1, but I don't think the store manager would have been very pleased with me! lol   ::)

You get that offer in Tesco sometimes. :) I've got a Tesco till voucher, for the second week running, to get £5.00 off if I spend £40.00. Might manage that. ;)

Yes saw that one on TV the other day, and 10p per litre off petrol.  Is that also if you spend more than £40?

More than £60.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I'm lucky as Sainsbury's sent me some vouchers for £8 off a £40 shop and also on alternate weeks 12p off a litre of fuel when I spend £40 (which really helps when the transit can cost £90+ to diesel up  :)). It would appear though that they send out these offers quite randomly and are not available to everybody.

We don't have their fuel here, so its less than useful if I ever get a voucher for money off it, as the nearest one is 90 miles away!

Did that last week,  (online) and I got a refund on the delivery charge too, as they were nearly an hour late. £11.50 total saving.  :D

We're using the Twongos £5 vouchers too...

Mrs G and I are getting a bit keen on wandering round with a pencil, ticking off the bits we need, but perhaps not currently.

If you spread it over a month or so, then it makes a bit of a difference, of course, as long as you spend only just over the magic figure...!

Mine too. :) £14.50 and all the little coupons are for things useful to me. I know its easy for them to determine what I buy, but it doesn't mean to say the vouchers are always relevant. ::)

I've got £25 worth and I'm sorely tempted to quadruple then to £100 worth of coupons to a local restaurant.
