Broody Pekin am I doing the right thing?
« on: March 31, 2009, 22:04 »
Clara after laying for a few weeks has gone broody. I have been putting her out the house for the day so she eats and wanders around and letting her in about 5 o'clock. When she dashes up rosey and straight in to the nest box. I just want to know if its ok to do this she is not very happy about it but if I don't put her out she won't drink or eat at all. She has been broody since last Thursday and shows no sign of giving up at the moment.

That's all I do with the Buff Orps, they'll stop when they're ready

Watch for others becoming broody though, I wanted one to go broody one did and now they're all dropping like flies  ::)
I'm like I only want one
