Don't want to kill it, just to tame it and contain it a bit.

There's about a dozen other things I want to destroy and send into space ! 

I've just spent 10 minutes ripping ground elder out with my hands in a fit of pique. I'm hoping the sudden loss of 90% of its leaves may knock it back slightly.
