Got my seed potatos today and most already have a cm or so of stalk growing...

Will I be ok to keep them in the dark and then chit when i want to ? Or do i have to put them out in the spare room now as they are already growing ?

sorry i know there are loads of threads like this but i couldnt find the answer to this!  :wub:

Set them up to chit, if they've started and you leave them in the dark, you'll end up with really long, white & weak chits.

If they are that long, it shows you the place you bought them from has not stored them in ideal conditions.

should seed potatoes be chitted in the lightest but coolest place possible to avoid the sproutings becoming leggy ?
