I just want to put a bit of clear plastic around my tomatoes to protect them from wind.I was going to get some sheets,does anyone know the best place to go?thanks

You'll get clear plastic sheeting from a builders merchant. :)

The larger the sheet, the cheaper it works out to be.   Wickes's do a good deal.

Someone on our allotment has split open empty compost bags and used those to make a windbreak type thing for his tomatoes.

I have some builders Barrier Fencing (the low viz blue one) and it seems to break the wind (pardon the pun) fine, nice and cheep to,

Ive protected mine by pushing a bamboo cane at the four corners of the growbag and one in the centre of the long sides, then wrapping fleece around the canes and pegging the flaps together. Very cheap and easy, does the job nicely. :happy:
