Help required for flymo D M rotovator! Just been given it! Engine starts first time but cannot get blades to pull forward! Is this the job of the tensioner ie more tension more power? When we tried it belt disintegrated! Just sent off for a replacement!  Any help appreciated

Hello there should be a lever on the front between the engine and rota cover I'm assuming this puts the Rotas in gear  the clutch is usually pulled up to put the rotas into drive  I've never actually used this mode
