Errrmmm this might be a daft question

Do sweet dumpling squash grow upwards of around 5 feet in the vertical position?

No one has mentioned this on the packet, RHS squash report etc and I have noticed mine are growing like cucumbers and just read someone growing his on his fence!

They are not sending creepers out.

was looking last night and thought they would look rather splendid  growing upwards, more room for the crown prince as well.

im growing sweet dumplings as well, so if you gave them 3 six foot canes each in a wigwam would they just climb upwards then (in theory) or would they need tying in. how big do these things grow. ,
ive not done squashes before only courgettes, so any advice is very welcome
