Rhubarb crumble

I live in wakefield which said to be the capital for ruhbarb, so I thought that this year i would give making a ruhbarb crumble a shot, never made it before so ill need some advice, do's and dont's so to speak. Any help would be gratley apreciated  :D

Thanks, so I dont stew the ruhbarb first, I just put it all into a caserole together?

If you make a large batch of the crumble mix you can keep it in the freezer in an airtight tub or ziplock bag.

Handy for single portion crumbles (that last apple in the fruit dish) or just saving time. :)

That's an interesting variation as I have never made a rhubarb crumble without cooking the rhubarb first (usually in the microwave), I will give this method a try  :D

tell you what, i seem to fancy anouther crumble that one was that nice  :tongue2:, im thinking about making a plum crumble but there isnt a recipe on this site (well not one I can find),any suggestions an dos and donts again, sorry, im a complete amatere cook  :D

I think it's fantastic you're having ago Jamie, when you get to uni, you'll be cooking for everyone ;) not just beans on toast :D

Apple is versatile in crumbles, with blackberry or one of my faves apple& mango with a hint of crystalised ginger. Or with dried fruit , apricot,date,raisin. The recipes are very much dependent on your own taste whether you like the fruit tart or sweeter.
I just cook a trial batch of fruit mix in the microwave to see if it tastes right and use the same mix next time with the crumble top in the oven.
