Can anyone advise please what is the best product to use, to wash out the inside of our new hen house, as my husband built it, it is totally collapsible so can spread it on the lawn to do this.  I hope to do this monthly at least, is this sufficient?

monthly is fine!
(although we change the droppings board every day - we put a sheet of newspaper down under the perch and whip it away in the morning - so easy!)

We use Jeyes fluid - scrub it down with a pan brush and sponge then rinse it thoroughly, giving it time to dry out properly before bedtime.

Oh that's brilliant thank you for your help.  I thought I would have to buy some special disinfectant.

have just started to use a steam cleaner to clean out inside, jetting the steam into the cracks to kill the bugs, hope this is going to work as i dont want to use a disinfectant in the house
