Here are our new girls, all 15 weeks at the moment very cute!

A village called Stickney nine miles north of boston. They are on the web 'Chickens for sale'

we got two Columbines, a Black copper maran and a cou cou maran

What fine looking birds.  Hope they are settling in well.

Really well so far thanks Anhbuc, they put themselves in the coop at dusk after just two nights of me lifting them in! We have them in the walk in run on there own at the moment and the other hens are pacing around it making aggressive gestures when close enough. It's only been five days so far and I had originally thought maybe a couple of weeks living like this before night time introductions, but seeing the pure spite coming from my older girls I am thinking it may be longer.
     It is interesting to note that of my three orpingtons, it is the lowest ranked hen that is showing the most aggression to the new girls.

   She probably doesn't want any more hens higher than her in the pecking order so is laying down the law.
