Title: Weed ID Please
Post by: Snap Dragon on June 16, 2009, 00:09
I'm assuming it's a weed.....

Whatever it is it's encroaching on my sprout bed so it'll be going when I get back from our hols!

It is very pretty though  :nowink:

Definately a cranesbill - Geranium sp

Should dig out easily enough though there may be a few seedlings spring up - not a real problem

it is a geranium.
so technically not a weed, unless it's where you don't want it in which case it is a weed.
they self-seed.

I have an overseas friend who loves gardening and took over the garden in her rented accommodation. She'd never seen bindweed before and when she showed me around her garden she'd trained it up specially made bamboo wigwams!!!

Does this stop bindweed being a weed?

a weed is only a wild flower growing in a place you don't want it to  :D
