Polytunnel and Fox
« on: May 02, 2010, 10:44 »
Hi

I was wondering if anyone had any advice for the following:

Over the winter our allotment fox(es) discovered the trick of breaking through the polythene into all the tunnels on the allotment. A handful of posts and a roll of chicken wire later the problem has been solved. However my concerns are that the fox had pooped in the tunnel and I am worried about the possibility of round worm. Does anybody have any idea if my concerns are valid and if so what to do about it?

Many thanks

This is a very unusual question and since there are no answers, it's likely that you'll need to ask some sort of professional. A local vet should be able to direct you where one of the feces could be tested. It will cost a bit but worth the peace of mind.

round worm if present in that fox wont last long inthe turds they need to be in a mammal, dig it in with the manure and dont wory. btw save the first wee of the day from the adult man of yer house ,spinkle that near where the fox enters and he wont be back.
