I've grown it in my garden and it's very tasty - supposed to be chock full of vitamins too.

My first attempt didn't go well at growing these, but I love the flavour.  And Romanescu are ideal for children who don't like veg as the florets look like little Christmas trees!   :D :D

It makes good crudites for dips etc and is very good to eat raw and cooked

One year I tried to grow cauliflower, romanesco and calabrese, and they were all pitiful   :( because my sandy soil isn't really right for brassicas. They took up a lot of space for very little return. If you have more clay they will probably be more rewarding.

they grow ok on sandy soil, but take an awful lot of feeding  :blink:

romanesco are so weird (shape and colour) - I was a bit hesitant at first as I'm not a lover of cauliflower but I'll try anything just to see for myself, and ... it's a broccoli (which I love!)  And very nice too - I can highly recommend it.
