curry

One of the most used sentences  on here is ' i got the curry munchies'.    On reading the paper today I see we are not supposed to use the word 'curry' as it is 'coloniaL 'and reflects on our past as we we were too lazy to learn the proper names of the food we were eating. What a  load of b......s is what I say.

I'd ignore this entirely Wighty, this was just a couple of attention seeking bloggers in the States that the lazy media latched onto. After all, who has most embraced the term curry more than the Asians who flog us silly Brits what we perceive to be Indian and Kashmiri food!

All this rubbish about what we can and can't say so as not to offend whoever is driving me nuts.    I saw something the other day about someone who said we shouldn't call little ones babies (or something like that) so if some people can be so easily offended or believe in such balderdash to that extent  they need to get a life.
Spring always comes when we sow the seeds of life.

We are not, the opinions of those with extreme opinions do not represent everyone, including those in authority. The media latch onto something and generate a massively exaggerated story out of it, and the population who in general seem to be incapable of objective thought or can't be bothered to research sources lap it up.
