Wheely bin butt
« on: April 15, 2011, 21:17 »
Has anyone built one of these? I'm thinkin it would be cheaper than buying one. I could just tell the council someone stole my bin and buy a new one for a £10. I'd hate to get caught stealing one. What other things would I need, tubes and such?

A jacket with arrows on if you get caught  :unsure: Not really worth it is it for the sake of a few pounds.  ;)

I'm not sure why you'd need wheels on it. Do you want to set up a water-butt for the plot?

If that's the case how about asking the council if they have any old ones minus the wheels? They might let you have one if you explain what it is for.  ;)

Which Newcastle you live in, under lyne or upon tyne??

Have a look at 'No frills' at Benton, or if you have/know someone with a Costco card, have a look there.

I think a wheelie bin is cheaper than a water butt these days anyway come to think of it, good thinking.  ;)

I think that telling the council yours has been stollen so that you can get one for £10 is the same as stealing the one that you are going to use as a water butt yourself.

Why should local tax payers pay for you to have a water butt?  It's them that will foot the bill for a replacement.

Blue barrels can sometimes be found free but they are quite cheap anyway.

Excellent!

What a pity Newcastle is such a very long cycle ride from the south coast.  :(
There we go. ::)
