Is there such a thing as a no spill feeder
« on: April 15, 2011, 17:07 »
I am about to get three new chucks after a break (I am so excited!).  I had the normal upturned plastic feeder with my last lot and they flipped the pellets all over the place.  I'm sure there's not a 'no spill' feeder, but is there a 'spill a bit less' type.

It's not the cost of the food that bother's me, it's the pellets must go rotten once they get spread around and wet.

Hi SusieB
I know Omlet sell plastic ones that attach to the wire of your run.  I have not had any spillages at all with these.  They come in a range of different colours, although plastic is not everyone's choice.  Goodluck and enjoy your girls! :)

Hi, I hang the feeder up too! Mine has a lid on it which overhangs the feeder and keeps the food dry fairly well. I found when it was on the floor they managed to fill it up with bark chippings as they scratched near it and hung up they don't do that. Bev

And these ones with the little fins are supposed to stop them wasting their food as well.
