use it on the garden for manuriong anything ya want other than roots this year . next year dig as much as you can in ,,,,,,,a barrow to a yard is great  :wink:

Good for tomatoes especially, added bonus is a crop of mushrooms.

I believe this stuff is quite alkaline so watch where u put it.

It is also salty and stuffed full of hypochlorite when fresh.

I got a bag last year and it sat in my garage for a year. I wasn't sure if it would still be okay, but i used some in my potato rows and in my peas.

Looks good stuff.

It is usually re-composted, then weathered before being bagged and sold.  You'll be fine.

It's great for any type of brassica 'cause they love the lime.
I also put it where I'm going to grow anything in the onion family.
Also good for mulching asparagus beds with - I think asparagus originated from seaside type plants so they appreciate the saltiness.
Gardening organically on chalky, stony soil.

we got  a load from freecycle recently, a lady read in gardeners world magazine about it being a good soil conditioner so she ordered some - a 10 ton truck load!! so she had loads to get rid of!!
