I grew a very similar one called Lemon cucumber last year - round and yellow skinned. It's prolific if nothing else but I didn't find the taste worth bothering with. On the other hand, others have grown it and enjoyed it. Like most things, it will come down to personal taste.

I'm growing these for the first time this year myself.   Just sown 1 seed today in the airing cupboard.   When it has emerged I will keep it in the greenhouse, bringing it in at night, until no risk of frost.   When I plant it outdoors I will put it into a mound of soil enriched with bagged manure from the garden centre.  The mound ensures that the stem doesn't rot.   I will place an upturned soft drinks bottle close to the mound to ensure plenty of water without rotting the stem.   Also some supports to allow it to climb and avoid the fruits getting dirty.
From fork to fork

They are really strange looking. They were the only squashy type thing that survived in the deluge on the allotment last year and I had no idea what they were until found all these weird mutant cucumbers in the long grass!

I think the taste is lovely, and they look fab in salad. Worth persevering for the novelty value too.

I grew them last year and am growing them again this year, my family loved them especially my three year old granddaughter she just ate them straight from the plant and sliced.

I've grown them outside with success and inside  in the greenhouse which they tookover entirley and even found their way under staging on the opposite side. I found the flavour better on the ones grown inside.
