coming tomorrow to dig a big hole for the sewerage so up come my peas and cabbage.  I will have a go at transplanting them, they can either live or die or go in the digger! Luckily we have really sandy soil so digging them up and transplanting might not be so bad, I can only try! The peas are producing lots of shucks too so it is a shame to lose them

water them first this will help hold the soil around the roots then try and take em up in a clump using a spade under them /dig a new trench for them first .then lift and lay in the new trench .. water em in .." 24 obs nurse and watch them slugs  and you may save thier lives "

Men didn´t turn up with the digger yesterday so another days reprieve for the peas

Well I was typing the last message (in the internet bit at the library) and hubby rang to say the men would be at the house any time to dig the big hole, so had to rush back.  Hubby had dug up the peas and cabbage, in the end I transplanted the cabbage and picked what peas there were and fed the plants to the hens.  The cabbage looked a bit sad at first but they have adjusted to their new home and are looking lovely
