I'm still very new and I bet you've seen these before...I'm going for true potato seed, tiger nuts, african horned cucumber, hidemi squash which apparently is even really tasty raw, some interesting chillies and beans from the seed circles.

The oca and achocha were brilliant, so am growing those again too (thank you Auntiemogs and Sunny!).

Nothing outrageous, but trying samphire (in tubs) and wild garlic for next year. Some odd coloured tomatoes to add to the pickled veg and salads.. That's about it. Quite a few other things are red this year, cabbage, celery, carrots but haven't made my mind up about corn yet.

I found "Yard Long" climbing bean.  Judging by the comments on another thread nobody's really had an success with it.  I've got the seed so I'll give it a go.

Not sure really as we have the house on the market, can't decide whether I will grow any tomatoes even this year, I can't imagine what it would be like to move a greenhouse full of plants & what hubby would say

We had that problem Snowy, I ended up growing stuff anyway as I had seed. The garden looked quite productive when people came to see it, though it was winter when we sold. As you know, there is no sale until contracts are exchanged, and you can think you've sold a few times before t happens, Awful trying to sell.

I tried samphire last year and not a ruddy one came up. :(
Be interested to hear if you have any luck.

I am trying several exciting squash, thanks to Surbie.  Not done flageolet beans before and going to try some oca too. Oh yes, and some cape gooseberries. trying some blooming butcher tomatoes and those supposedly blight free ones.

Apart from that it will be similar to last year.

For me, it is Electric Daisies

which I hope are as good as they sound.

Has anyone grown these before?

Mrs Bee, it is highly likely it won't work here. We are hours from a sea at the foot of the mountains and have blistering summers (normally) but I do like a challenge and what better my favourite summer veg? Can't find much info about growing it though.

The other red things will be globe artichokes.

They sound really interesting - I've seen them on the seed racks but never tried them.

I am going for Turkish Orange Aubergines.  I am not sure why, given my complete failure with standard aubergines. However we saw these in a shop in Matera in southern Italy this autumn and thought they were tomatoes.   I was surprised to see them in the Thomas Etty catalogue.  They are promised to be very productive, but I don't believe it. I am treating them as a novelty item.

I have a few new tomato varieties to try, likewise peas, beans and chilli peppers - courtesy of the seed saving club  :D

Completely new to me will be physalis and achocha, if I remember to sow them
