I have planted Foremost on 17.03.07.  The plants were healthy, and the buds appeared as expected, but did not open.  Instead they dropped off.  The potatoes seem to be OK, but are still quite small.  I am told this is "dry set".  What does this mean, and how can I avoid it?  Any comments please?

I have never seen this problem.  Since flower/fruit is superfluous to potato production, then I think your spuds will be fine.

Would be nice to learn more so perhaps you could post again after harvesting.  Or perhaps your information source could elaborate?

Dry set is mentioned on http://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profiles0603/tomato_virus.asp but potato 'fruit' is produced asexually so don't think it matters at all.
