As I CBA today - it's jacket potato, topped with a small portion of leftover mince/tomato mix, plus grated cheese, with coleslaw and fridge gravel salad bits.

Cauli cheese and garlic bread.  The cauli's in the corner shop were reduced to 40p each so we got two, one has been  blanched and frozen, one we have had a portion off with another meal and the rest tonight.  We already had the milk and cheese, so a cheap meal.

Our first strawberry rhubarb pie of 2024 is in the oven now. Baked by yours truly (emergency services are a short call away!  :) ???)

My OH is making baked chicken, I think sweet potatoes baked in-jacket are going along side that.

Added later: I had it wrong. Son#2 made FRIED chicken. OH did the sweet potatoes.

Cottage pie - that's comfort food!  (Same as what we call shepherd's pie, correct?)
The version we sometimes make uses ground turkey (allergy; I can't eat mammal meat).
