Flubenvet 1% powder you can buy it on line for about £14 you can still eat the eggs and apparently it's better than verm x which is a bunch of tree hugging hippy herbs nonsense. every six months with the flubenvet.

If you keep them on the same ground all the time 3 times a year say May, Aug, Dec/Jan ie less often in winter.

If you reguarly move them say on a 3 month rotation probably once or at the most twice in summer is probably fine.

Flubenvet is safe and effective unlike some other "natural" ones which maybe neither.

If.

As a health professional I think it's important that, where possible, treatments are based upon scientific evidence gathered from double blind, placebo controlled trials.

It's interesting to note that in 2009 The Advertising Standards Authority could not find sufficiently robust evidence to support the manufacturer's claim at the time that Verm-X controlled all known internal parasites ( ASA ref 74895) and as a result subsequent adverts for the product could not make this claim.

Well, well, well isn't that interesting.  See earlier threads about VERM X

Strange how you can spot these suspect products just by the fact that they don't make the claims they ought to be able to if they had a good story to tell.  That explains why their site is so coy about making claims of efficacy and they didn't respond to my enquiry on the subject.  Still it's wonderfully fresh, herbal and natural though I'll grant them that.

The url for this adjudication which was in April 2009 is
