Woo Hoo, just wanted to share that after 11 years of doing GYO I have finally grown a melon.......even better is I have some fruits on another plant which I'm hoping will ripen. Cantaloupe, only the size of a tennis ball but very juicy and lovely.
After a frustrating start to the year with pigeons, slugs and recent critter activity eating all the sweetcorn this has really cheered me up.
Anyone else been successful at growing a new crop?
To add balance though, no success with the ground nuts germinating and although the popcorn corn is about 8ft the cobs have not filled out. Always next year though
