quail question

hello,

my most recent hatch yesterday, iv noticed that the legs of one of the quail, are backwards,

(to be exact, one leg is backwards n the other the toes flipover)


is there a way to recetify this? wat should i do, will it b ok to survive?

This question is obsolete, iv just had to cull it (Was gasping for breath and hiding in a corner so not to prolong the suffering)... hardest thing iv everdone...

Sorry, only just seen this.

I have also had quail like this and sadly have never been able to rectify it. Have had some with dodgy curled fee and some with slipped tendons (at the back of the knees). the slipped tendons can be put back into place but in my (limited- only about 5) experience they have always recurred.  In the end i have always had to cull them so I tend to do this early now as I regard it as untreatable.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Thanks for the response, i know the wrongway round feet was a issue, but the gasping of breath? was completely fine yesterday, but this morning,, not so well



When does the guilt go away when you cull your first?

Hi craig culling anything is a hard desition to make but in this case you did right and stoped the chick from suffering anymore

i know without a doubt i did the right thing, but still feel crappy for doing it,

just know i feel guilty for it (kept appoligizing it as i did the deed)
