Just seen this on FB too Joy.  So sorry about Ollie, but she is not in pain any more poor thing.

Lots of virtual hugs coming over to you!   XXXXX

Awww, that's truly sad, Joy  :(  As Grannie says, she's no longer in pain. Sending cyber hugs.

It is so hard to part with them Joyfull, but they leave many memories.  As I type this I have a Mastiff head on my lap, moaning that it is walk time.   You always know the ones owned by a mastiff by the silver sleeves and knees, even on the collar of your coat at times lol.  Not a dog for the sqeamish eh ?
Sometimes it is better to keep your mouth shut and be suspected of knowing nothing than opening it and proving it.

certainly not but they are gorgeous and on Thursday I am on my way down to Large Breed Dog Rescue to view some big boys in need of a new forever home. This visit was all arranged before we lost Ollie Bear and was meant to be a big brother for her.

Tibet, we have adopted him. He was being fostered by us after his operation, we could not give him up!

well we didn't get the Great Dane from the Large Breed Dog Rescue as our Rosie didn't like him (he was a good 8 inches taller than our Ollie was and was still growing so I think his size frightened her).
Then on Friday I got told about a brother and sister that needed a new home together and would I be interested. It was a silly question to ask me as they are my favourite breed of dog and still part of the mastiff family. The lady who owned them had had major work on her heart and had never been able to walk them after a couple of weeks of getting them so they are not lead trained and after spending their short lives living in a caravan and having just a pen for their play they were terrified of the outside world. But she knew she had to part with them for their sakes even though it broke her heart when I went to collect them on Saturday afternoon.

So please meet Harry (closest to the camera) and Phoebe (with Rosie in the background) my pair of Newfoundland Landseers  :D
