Thats a lotta eggs!!!! and alotta feed.  It must cost a fortune to feed them.  I spend about £10 a month on my 8!  On the upside........it only takes 2 eggs for a carrot cake.  Could you eat about 75 slices a day?
Avoid fruit and nuts.  You are what you eat.

Phew ... well done pookey.

We that's a condition I've never heard of before.  Will she need any more treatment ?

Carrot cake is my all time favourite  :D

Maybe worth making a note of somewhere on a sticky, for future reference?

Glad she's OK, Pookey - and well done for finding a vet that knew something about chickens  :!:
Nobody said this was going to be easy ... but some days are better than others!

How did the vet relieve the blockage? Are there chicken catheters?
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

not sure if shell need more treatment, hopefully its sorted, just gotta keep an eye on her.

I am raming the cake down as we speak - delicious!  Delia rarely dissapoints.  Wish I could send you all a slice.  When the cake comes out the oven hot, it's pearced all over with a scewer then you drizzle an orange and lemon syrup all over it - as the cake cools, the syrup desolves and makes it so moist and succulent - I recomend it.

Anyway back my poor little girl.  My vet is very reasonable and charges £10 for a small animal consult and diagnosis, they will also split medicine and flubenvet etc and just give you the exact amount you need.  I also got wormer chucked in for free for my 8 girls with the £10 I paid today.  If I need to go back for the same problem, I think a consult is only £5.   When I lived in Watford, you couldnt visit a vet for less than £30
