Title: Cucumbers wilting
Post by: Anton on May 22, 2023, 17:49
I bought two cucumber plants a couple of weeks ago. They were doing fine. I planted them in a bit of a hollow. I decided to give them a treat a couple of days ago with a handful of dried manure. The next day they had started wilting. In case it was the manure Itried to flush it away with a bit of heavy watering. They are still alive but looking very down in the mouth. Any ideas please?

Cucumbers don’t usually like to get there stems wet.  I plant mine on a mound.

Thanks Aunt Sally. I have done the complete opposite: in a hollow (as I do very successfully for my courgettes). Is it worth digging them up?

Where there’s life there’s hope.  Have a go.  :)

I dug them up but the roots arein a bad state. Is it too late to plant some more (the proper way)?
