Leek Wine

Hello,
Can you make wine out of leeks and if so does anyone have a recipe please. The lad on the next allotment to me kindly gave me permission to take as many leeks as I want before he chucks them on the compost heap. I dont like waste so was wondering if I could make a wine with some of them.
