Another day, same old story  :(
Kept apart all day but back together now. One of the other three will not give up and keeps having the odd peck and I've seen one of the others just generally peck at her when she's got too close. Don't know whether this is turning into a case of bullying!
Don't know what to try now. I'm still going to keep them apart during the day until the weekend then I think we're just going to have to leave them together and see what happens.
Strange thing is, all the other three seem to get ok together?!

And I've got to tell you all this. I covered her tea tree cream when I got home and now she's having a dust bath!!!!!!!!! Talk about wasting time.

What about trying that stuff they use for birds who feather-peck, forgotten what it's called but they don't like the taste. I have some in the barn but never had to use it. I'm sure Aunty will know what it's called...being lazy as I should go and look! Will look when I put the girls to bed and let you know if no-one else has! I bought it at the local pharmacy.

Why not bring her indoors for a few days to let the wound heal properly, as a lot of damage could be done during the day whilst you're at work?

Good luck, hope she recovers soon,

Judi

Slight development today. One of the other three (that are left together during the day) is showing the same signs that Sweetie did originally......feather loss by the parsons nose and bleeding from a break in the skin  :(
We're now thinking we have a case of bullying but can't tell which one is the culprit!
Could this be down to boredom in the run? The run over 8ft x 3.5ft plus the house which is big enough for maybe another three birds.
The only thing we can do now is to let them all roam around the pen and hope they don't get out during the day. Unless we can spot the bully in which case she will kept separate from the others.
I might be coming from this from the wrong angle but my thinking is that if the bully draws blood then its only natural for the others to have a peck. What do you think?
