help found a snake

this afternoon my hubby found a snake he thought it was an adder

they move around a lot so fear not ,its probably a grass snake anyways n totally harmless

when you say a v do you mean like a collar arounds the back of its head if so its a grass snake

grass snakes come in lots of different colours but so do adders :?
