We've been lifting spuds from a bed which hadn't been tilled with the Mantis, and the difference in soil structure is amazing!

I'm quite prepared to dig over the beds with a fork and break up the 'pan' every now and then, but the 'knocking down' by Mantis is dead easy!

I wrote to them recently, to ask if their edging tool could have a 'shear' attachment, (i.e. work like scissors) but although they were very polite, there's no plan to improve this bit!

However, as an ageing Growster, I just love our Mantis - it's the best solution for the Patch and the Plot!

I autumn dig every year then use the mantis in the spring it gives a very good tilth for sowing
