so I can Get On With Stuff today.  There, howzat for Attitude!

Great attitude! I think the weather will have something to say about what I can get on with today, though  :(
There's bread proving now, so I might clear the veg drawer and make a big batch of minestrone to go with it later.

Spicy pork steaks with oven roasted veg and spring greens.

A nice quick tea which comprised of chucking some pre-prepped veg and the meat in the oven and putting a pan on for the greens  :)

Chicken steaks with jacket pots, leeks in cheese sauce and roast squash.  A bit of a fridge clear but will go down well.

Very exotic today 8)

Homemade tempura of spring veg and leaves from the garden - asparagus spears, quartered small globe artichokes, flower spears from good king henry (wild greens really but I grow them in a shady border), sweet cicely leaves, sorrel leaves and garlic chives.  Salad on the side.

It was a little bit of a fiddle to make, but absolutely delicious  :D

Wow!  sounds lovely ...

It was savory rice here - using up the last bits of bacon and beef, with some pepper and mushrooms etc etc.  Tasted  good, if not cordon bleu.   :)

And after a day of retail experiences (which I so hate - Aldi, tesco, homebargains, shoes, Morrisons, Wilko, works, Wilkes and god knows where else!  My bank texted me to confirm the purchases we all mine - not one of them very big but all contactless ... Security excellent but it made the point!) tonight it is grilled (bargain t*sco) turkey steaks with grilled mushrooms, jackets and runners.  And a medicinal drop or two!!

Late back last night so ended up with chicken fried rice - there was cold rice, cold chicken and half a bag of stir-fry veg in the fridge so it seemed rude not to  :D

 I did much the same - I had left over curry and rice and mixed it in with a half bag of stir-fried veg.

For tonight there's a salmon fillet defrosting, was thinking of pea risotto with it - but decided I've had enough of rice lately - so maybe coleslaw and a jacket with it

Must be catching!  :D  Tonight is stir fried veg, special fried rice (ie with egg and onion) and a couple of chicken thighs cooked in soy and star anise to give it a sauce.  The way I am feeling, I could easily succumb to the CBA fairy, which is not good.

Made a chicken and leek pie last night with all those thin leeks, just scrummy with mash and frozen peas.

Fish night tonight is Plaice from Morrisons. Half price offer on all fish so got twice as much as we normally have.
A big ring of Black pudding will be grilled and sliced.
Making some baguettes.
Picked the first Asparagus today, so will be pan grilling that in a drizzle of butter.

Just made some yogurt, so a mix of that with some picked Rhubarb.

And again ....  it is catching!

Tonight will be turkey (the meat off some wings that are in the slow cooker) in tarragon sauce, with jackets and runners.  I am thinking about making the turkey into a pie ..... Hmmm .....
