Just check the rootstock size as these trees are usually ones that will grow quite tall.

Good value though

I've seen this and am tempted - is there much to loose at £3.99??

I'd like them in pots (as I rent my house) but as has been pointed out no root stock is mentioned and is likely to be large varieties.  But at just 2 years old would they be ok in pots (aka large container) for a couple of years?  What's the worst that can happen??

I'm tempted to buy an apple just so that I can cut off the best twigs for grafting onto the rootstock of my existing tree. That will give me another variety of apple without taking up more space.

Worth a go for £3.99  :)

My Father in Law bought some of these about 2 years ago and they are already huge so you need to check the root stock carefully.  He keeps asking me to prune them for him so that he will be able to get at the fruit - no amount of pruning is every going to get these to a height that they will be managable.  If you have the space go for it but don't put 6 of them in a small garden as my FIL has done.

I have 9 of these now, The oldest ones I've had for three years and are only about a foot taller than when I bought them.
I think someone posted what the rootstock was on here last year.

Spoke to a guy at Wisley last year at Apple Weekend and he was adament that trees only grow as large as you let them no matter what the root stock.

Quite a strange statement. Of course they only grow as large as you let them

But they don't all grow to the same size. Rootstocks control height and spread and also influence other factors such as disease-resistance and fruit yield

Well I just went and bought a Victoria Plum Tree, (last of the big spenderd ).  I'm pretty sure it was the last plum, seems to only have a few twigs and one looks broken but it's only £4 so not much to loose, hopefully it will flourish when it's planted  ???

They had quite a choice including: Morello Cherry, another cherry I can't remember the name of, Peach (can't remember variety again), Conference & Comice pear, Bramley, Gala, Braeburn (possibly) apple.  Also raspberry 3 tall canes.  Possible a few others, my memory isn't good!

remember to check if they are selfpolinating or cross. You get more fruit with 2 trees.

Victoria Plums are self polinating  :) There are other fruit and bee loving plants already in my garden as well (unknown varieties though)

Information regarding polination and height is on the back of the pack.

My mum got Conference and Comic as it said they went well together for polination (I'm sure there are other options)

I had a look at them today, I got a bit confused with the Raspberries. They don't look like Raspberry canes, they look like trees! Any ideas people?
The Peach is Red Haven, there is also a Greengage and an Apricot.

What a great offer!  I'm with willow_warren on this one though, they'd need to be suitable for container growing as I don't have a permanent residence yet.  Pointing out how good the offer is to non-gardening colleagues though so I can reap their fruit in years to come for brews hehe
