Title: Worming kittens
Post by: Pep on November 21, 2009, 16:50
I've just given my ex-feral kittens (now 110% tame!!), part of a worming tablet each and they just ate it, all three of them  .  After the fun and games we used to have getting our dogs to take any sort of tablet, I just can't believe it.  Surely not all kittens are as easy to worm as these.  I'd love to hear your stories as, to a certain extent, I feel a bit cheated :D.

Good kitties!  :)
I never had much success with tablets, and my vet gave me Panacur (sp?) paste.
It's like toothpaste sort of texture and they love it

Are you sure there isn't a little heap of spat out pills deposited when you weren't looking?

Every time I have been sure a cat has swallowed a pill I've heard a 'ptuii' 2 minutes later and theres been a damp pill on the carpet & a smug cat disappearing off into the distance ::)

  I'm ssooooooo jealous!  Its always a battle of wills with mine.  If they will take pills like that then so many of your problems will be easier.  Oh I wish ..... >:(

Nope!!!, no spat out pills, I actually saw them being chewed!!  After having two whippets with all the tricks of disguising they've swallowed the tablet, I was ready for anything. Can't believe my luck  :D.
