Looking for some nice Festive Type Chutneys and Preserves to make now and put away for Christmas time. Any good ones you've like to share?

*CRANBERRY AND APPLE RELISH*

225g (8oz) Cranberries
350g(12oz) Cooking apples
30ml(tbsp) Cider vinegar
225(8oz) Demerara sugar
2.5ml (1/2 level tsp) ground mixed spice
grated rind of one orange
METHOD.
Wash and dry the cranberries. Peel core and slice apples. Place in large
saucepan with the vinegar, sugar, spice and orange rind. Simmer for twenty
minutes or until fruit is pulpy. stirring occasionally. Cool, cover and
refrigerate for up to one week. Will freeze very well if it gets chance and
is not eaten first.

i have this one , i dont know what its like as its the first time in making but here goes .
12 oz ready to eat prunes
10 oz pitted dates
10 oz ready to eat apricotes
1 lb onions , peeled
1 pt cider vinegar
2 oz sea salt
1 level dessertspoon grated freash ginger , or 1 teaspoon ground ginger .
3 oz allspice berries
1 lb brown suger
this will make 1 litre jar.
onions and dried fruits must be chopped small .
put vinegar in the pan wih the saltand the ginger, place berries in a muslin and pop in the pan
bring all this to the boil and then add the dried fruits , onions and the sugar .
leave to simmer for 1 1/2 hours or till its thickend , stiring from time to time .
prepare jars in the usual way
keep for one month before using .
i only made half the recipie incase i dont like it mine has been brewing for 2 months but im keeping it for Christmas .
