I was thinking of putting some in this weekend,Anyone suggest a good variety?
How long do they take before I can harvest them? as I was considering inter-cropping with some other veg.

Jermor, Golden Gourmet, Mikor. I like the larger, elongated ones as opposed to say Topper which are a bit small. Taste fine etc but just a bit more fiddly

I'm doing Griselle but they're a bit pricey so hoping for great things

I've put mine round the edge of one of my beds. Not sure exactly why, just seemed like a good idea at the time.

I like that.

You can plant shallots anytime winter/early spring if your ground is workable. they will take till mid/end summer to be ready. Can be easily inter-cropped with lettuce and other salads.
