« on: June 06, 2007, 10:39 »
Am I too late???

I have got way behind for a load of reasons, I have just about caught up with planting out, but haven't sown any leeks yet.

Is it too late?

Thanks

You will still get baby leeks if sown now. The slugs got mine but a very kind knight in shinning armer (WG) came to my rescue. As well as planting some more leek seedlings last week I also sowed some more.
Try my best to be Organic but don't always make it

Mine have just come through after my first lot germinated very poorly, last year I planted them into the ground cleared after my early spuds and I got smallish but adequate leeks. So go for it.

I would sow them anyway, the rate mine are growing with this weather I reckon you might be lucky and get some good uns.
