Frost question
« on: April 17, 2009, 08:26 »
I have been checking metcheck.com for frost warning. they give ground and air frost warnings. which one we should be worried about? just air or both ground and air.
I do understand that tender and young plants need protection. how about established plants? I have well established onions, garlic , peas and lettuce. do they need protection as well? thanks

Mention of any frost & I get worried. Remember it a forecast and the actual temperature can go either way. It only needs to be one degree out to go from no frost to frost!

Onions, garlic & peas should be fine, I'd be tempted to throw something over the lettuce. Some can stand it, some can't.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
