Hi there, my name's Lynne and have just become a first time allotment holder after being on the waiting list for 3 years  I have small garden which was sparse when I moved here 5 years ago  I have gradually turned it into a little oasis so I know I can grow fruit trees, flowers and shrubs but I want to grow edibles which I haven't tackled before - other than my apples which are lovely  I have bought a couple of books including the Allotment Book by Andi Clevely while I've been on the waiting list BUT now the real hard work starts! I'm lucky as I work part time so can put in the effort and I have my other half who can provide the muscle (just have to tell him first!) This site was recommended to me by a friend and neighbour who also has an allotment on the same site so you can blame him for me being here  Hopefully I won't have to post too many questions as there seems to be loads of info on here and I won't have the time as I'll be on my plot digging away!!
