At the moment I have 7 hens. Two are laying and the others are POL. They have ample room in their coop for roosting but only 2 nest boxes. Is it better to have more nest boxes once they are all laying?

I have 8 hens with 2 nest boxes which seems adequate. In fact the dozy thing all lay in the same box and leave the other one empty. Sometimes there are as many as 3 in one box and the other is vacant.

Thanks, will just leave them as is for now then... Had this vision of a long foot tapping que for the nest box

Ha  Ha. I too had visions of a long queue like ladies at the loos !!
