cauli question
« on: November 12, 2010, 10:19 »
Hi Guys,

My caulis are still growing well and Im really proud of myself.  So Im wondering as the head of the cauli is the factual flower if I cut off the head to eat it will the plant grow another head?  or am I being greedy?

Thanks guys

Jools

If you cut a cabbage and then cut a cross in the stalk it will , i am told grow 4 more mini cabbages. Not sure about cauli's though.

How useful and friendly is this site.  Nearly everytime I check through I learn something new.

My leeks have been saved,my beetroot can be stored, cabbage can reproduce, etc, etc what have I been missing over the years?

Thanks to everyone for their input / advice it really does help many of us I am sure.

Jools, it is great that people are willing to share experiences / advice with fellow allotmenteers.  I must admit that this time of the year when rough digging needs to be done brings me the annual backache  but it nice seeing the work as it is progressed.
However, come early 2011 off we all go again and without doubt I will be asking more questions.
Have a good winter to you growers out there :)
Pete
