I like the idea of a photo that means a word to you like COMFORT, DIVERSITY, FRUGALITY, INGENUITY, HAPPINESS, PRIDE, FORTITUDE, ETC.
It gives everyone on the forum a chance to enter with their own interpretation, and the judges an interesting time judging.

There's an idea.

I can contribute: budgies and foreign finches, tropical fresh-water and marine fish, cats and kittens, conure parrots and pretty tame koi carp....as well as foxes and hedgehogs if they are allowed. 

Sometimes everyday life itself is competitive enough perhaps?

It's (fortunately) ages away so there'd be tons of time to plan something wouldn't there?
