Seems to be an outbreak of Covid round here again.
First my 4 year grandson went down with it then my wife and finally me.
Really annoying as we were planning to go to a 70th birthday surprise party in the New Forest last weekend! Our surprise was to test positive for Covid and cancel everything.
 I have just filed some accumulated paperwork as I’m at home. Must confess I thought this disease was a bad memory. Stopped me going to a friends funeral last year too.

I had a nasty sore throat for a few days but didn't think of testing...
My daughter (who is Immunosuppressed ) lives in Darlington and tested positive last week, it put her in bed for a couple of days.
So it is about, but doesn't seem to be anything more than a heavy cold.

It is around where I am.  Severity of symptoms is very variable like all the other versions of it.  The worst I have heard is a week in bed unable to really do anything and then washed out for days afterwards, not unlike a dose of proper flu.

Same here - there seems to be a spike going round at the moment, with variable and unpredictable impacts as before.

No, but our daughter had it 3 weeks ago and my sister had it a few days before that, both were quite poorly

Adding insult to injury I came back from a week on holiday to find an email from the parish clerk telling me I wasn’t cultivating my plot!! Not sure that everyone realises that asparagus has to be allowed to grow once you have stopped harvesting. I regularly get told that the back of my plot is weedy when it’s my asparagus at this time of year.
As I had Covid I was lucky to get away on holiday let alone have time to check my plot was in pristine condition.
