my sweetcorn is doing great some of its nearly ready its got side shoots on most which ive read to leave on to give more energy into growing but the side shoots have started producing flowers is this normal should i leave them on now or will it weaken the other fruit

This question has come up a few times this year and the answer each time is to leave them on, so that's what I'll say this time too

i knew to leave them but last time i checked no one had mentioned them flowering, will i get extra cobs off them

There will be a few kernals, but not many.
